9th - 15th MAY

It's time to get some red dirt in your hair.

Natalia is taking ART CAMP to Karajini in the rugged North West region of WA - the Pilbara.

For many Karajini is a once in a lifetime opportunity, often made impossible due to its remote location; Natalia has meticulously organized the entire experience to give you the *chefs kiss* blend of nature, creativity, out-back and rest.

Ancient, remote and sacred, the gorges are world class. Hosted at the rustic eco-retreat facility, guests enjoy their outback adventure in safari style tents under the enormous milky way sky.

Read on if you need to breathe some adventure and creativity into your life.

But what IS Art Camp?

It isn't your average art class, where you are taught how to paint like the host. It also isn't a wellness retreat. It is something quite unique - and it is proving to be surprisingly and gently transformational.

Art Camp (Defn).

1. [Art]

Not about skill or perfection.
Art here means embodying your truest nature as creative being (yes you, not just 'artists'). You explore mark-making, listening inward, joyful action, experimenting, noticing.
It’s the process, not the product. Art is an artefact of your experience.

2. [Camp]

A temporary village. A place we return to the basics: eating outdoors, watching the sun rise, gathering around shared moments. It’s where we come back into our bodies—feeling the sun, the wind, the cold morning air, the warm rocks beneath us, the bird song and the stars. Nature is the cofacilitator.

Art Camp is the creation of Natalia Fidyka, a gestalt psychotherapist and artist who uses universals laws to playfully deliver you freedom and joy in your expression. This is not art therapy, or therapy, but you might find Natalia's disarmingly casual and cheery approach can have you trying new things on your page and in life.

Hey, I'm Natalia,

Happiest with my paint sticks, red dirt in my hair, coffee, a sunrise, and captaining creatives! I’m an Artist, creator of Art Camp (now onto its 4th sold out event) and a Psychologist.

After years of holding space in therapy rooms and online spaces, I found myself craving something looser, wilder, and more human - more me. Turns out, it's also what you want.

I've roamed around many outback roads in Australia  and have felt the way Country cracks you open.

That’s where Art Camp began. I want you to come home with a sketchbook full of torn pages, half-finished charcoal sketches, coffee stains, scribbles of memories about red rocks, glittery night skies, icy cold rock pools and laughs with new friends. When you open that journal you remember the feeling of having really lived. That you got wild and free.

Karijini is breathtaking, and the perfect co-facilitator. It will change you.

"Art Camp creates this sense of community, and belonging! Incredible. It really is so much more than painting and making 'art'.

What will we do?

Arrive in Paraburdoo (fly or drive) where you will be met by Natalia and the Art Camp gang.
A 12-seater mine spec people mover is your trusty stead, and we will spend the day exploring Tom Price, topped with a night at the quintessential Paraburdoo Inn, and we head over to Karajini the next day.
Natalia sets an itinerary, and then uses her instincts to navigate the days activities based on the groups energy.
There are at least 5 gorges to visit, swim in (have your breath taken away in), explore and draw and paint. Natalia offers some creative prompts to get you started, and offers creative tips if you need them. This method has you find what you love. There are no rules.
There will be a visit to internationally acclaimed Aboriginal Art Centre, Martumilli in Newman, night painting, morning flights (Natalias personal practice of intuitive mark-making in pyjamas at sunrise, it's a crowd favorite) and peaceful hours sitting around gorges or in your safari tent.

A core premise of all of Natalias work is encouraging you to listen to your creative spark, your needs and your instinct. If you want something different to what is on offer, you have the sovereignty to do so - it is welcomed.
