BOOK MY APPT

Hey!

Choosing to want something more for ourselves and reaching out for therapy can be one of the bravest (insert challenging) things we can do in life.

Ā

Therapy is an invitation to learn a new way of living. To embrace the fullness of being human by leaning into discomfort and pain, with curiosity, acceptance and self compassion (three qualities that many humans find painfully difficult). There is information to learn and skills to develop; and a whole lot of laughs to be had, because after all, we all want to have a life we love.

I am so honoured by the work I get to do. Hearing peoples most life stories (often being the only person that has), celebrating successes and co-piloting through lifeā€™s challenges, walking beside wonderful humans as they recover their truest selves, and live a life that they treasure.

Being a counselling psychologist has been my lifeā€™s work, and I still feel blessed by it every day.Ā Thank you for taking a moment to be here.

Ā

With gratitude,
Natalia

Practicing a person centred approach, Natalia is committed to sourcing current and leading therapeutic approaches to tailor a therapeutic plan that best supports your personal needs. This includes Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Gestalt Therapy, Acceptance Commitment Therapy, and Mindfulness Based Therapy.

A common thread through all these approaches is the development of self-awareness. By increasing self-awareness, individuals are able to identify beliefs, behaviours and thinking styles that are self-limiting. In fuller awareness of personal patterns, individuals can begin to make choices that are more self-supportive and aligned with their goals and vital living.

Natalia Fidyka is a Registered Psychologist and Gestalt Psychotherapist counsellor, with almost 20 years experience in mental health working across the community, corporate and private sectors.

In her early career she worked for a decade in the community mental health sector providing case management, residential care facility management, community education, and team supervision. During this time she worked extensively with people experiencing psychotic disorders and severe mood disorders, guided by a ā€˜recovery is possibleā€™ model.

Natalia eventually moved into private practice, working in a general practice, naturopathic clinic, and finally arriving at the prestigious Cottesloe Counselling Centre where she practiced for 7 years.
