Welcome to ART CAMP HQ!

Who's this for? Two kinds of folk.

1.Ā The nature-craving person. You have an itch to spend more time outdoors in the wild, surrounded by creative folk who 'get it' when you obsess over the colour of a rock or a leaf.Ā

2. The 'creatively curious' person. You reaally want to be 'creative' but haven't known how to start. Or you used to be arty, then being an adult took over and your creative heart was last seen 20 years ago.

Welcome. You're in the exact right place.

About ART CAMP

Art Camp was born in Margaret River 2022, when Natalia ran the first Art Camp coinciding with the Open Art Studios event. It was a hit, and what she noticed was just how nature relaxed and inspired people.Ā

*insert epiphany*

Nature is AS important as the creativity bit, AS important as the 'making new friends' bit.

And since then AC has intentionally grown around being out in the elements, getting a little uncomfortable in the outdoors (we realise how much we are capable of and how much more fun can be had!) all whilst having a shed ton of fun painting, writing, photographing and hanging out with really great humans.Ā

Since inception Art Camp has sold out each time, and gone to Margaret River, Wave Rock (Wheat Belt), Rottnest Island and Karijini National Park (Pilbara).

The next Art Camp is KARIJINIĀ 2027. Please don't be disappointed - reach out, Art Camp sells out.

Natalia is mid-planning for Morocco 2027.

Make sure to pop your name down on the mailing list at the bottom of this page, to stay connected with updates!Ā

Art Camp (Defn).

1. [Art]Ā

Not about skill or perfection.
Art here means embodying your truest nature as a creative being (yes you, not just 'artists'). You explore mark-making, listening inward, joyful action, experimenting, noticing.
It’s the process, not the product.Ā Art is an artefact of your experience.

2. [Camp]

A temporary village. A place we return to the best basics: eating outdoors, watching the sun rise, gathering around shared moments. It’s where we come back into our bodies—feeling the sun, the wind, the cold morning air, the warm rocks beneath us, the bird song and the stars. Nature is the cofacilitator.

Ā

Art Camp is the creation of Natalia Fidyka, a gestalt psychotherapist and artist who uses universals laws to playfully deliver you freedom and joy in your expression. This is not art therapy, or therapy, but you might find Natalia's disarmingly casual and cheery approach can have you trying new things on your page and in life.

Hey, I'm Natalia,

Happiest with my paint sticks, red dirt in my hair, coffee, a sunrise, and captaining creatives! I’m an Artist, creator of Art Camp (now onto its 6th sold out event) and a Psychologist.

After years of holding space in therapy rooms and online spaces, I found myself craving something looser, wilder, and more human - more me. Turns out, it's also what you want.

I've roamed around many outback roads in Australia and have felt the way Country cracks you open.Ā

That’s where Art Camp began. I want you to come home with a sketchbook full of torn pages, half-finished charcoal sketches, coffee stains, scribbles of memories about red rocks, blue seas, glittery night skies, icy cold rock pools and laughs with new friends. When you open that journal you remember the feeling of having really lived.

That you got wild and free.Ā

The Best Camp Photographer

Having a camp photographer may be the best decision I made.

Introducing Laura Holdsworth! Local photographer and framer, Laura feels at home in the Australian bush. She is so bloody kind, supportive, and her sweet light nature adds to the warmth of Art Camp.Ā

Naturally, she has an incredible eye - most of the time you won't notice that she has just taken the most stunning photo of you.Ā

There is nothing more powerful than seeing a professional photo of you, radiant and joyful, through eyes of an artist.Ā

All photos taken will be delivered to you within 2 weeks of the camp finishing for your treasure box of memories.
